Member of the Good Homes Alliance (GHA), Knauf Insulation, is sponsoring the GHA Conference – Defining, Planning, Designing and Financing Good Homes, on the 25th October 2012 in London.
The one day event will feature leading industry speakers and panellists taking the participants through all of the key issues of new homes development, and the process of achieving good homes.
A number of key speakers will be attending the event including Kate Faulkner, Managing Director of Designs on Property and RIBA Future Homes Commissioner, who will be exploring the public aspiration for good homes, from the consumer perspective.
Richard Blythe of the RTPI (The Royal Town Planning Institute) will also be there to give his perspective on the National Planning Policy Framework and whether the presumption in favour of sustainable development is pushing better standards.
Additionally, there will be panel discussions of leading experts and presentations on various subjects including why building performance in new homes matters and new financing models and solutions for good homes.
The GHA has an aim to transform the UK housing sector to ensure it creates and maintains Good Homes that are sustainable. GHA Leaders and Members have signed up to meet standards, where homes must be low energy and have proven performance.
