With tighter energy efficiency requirements now a key part of both the Code for Sustainable Homes and Part L1A of the Building Regulations, Knauf Insulation is dispelling the myths about full-fill glass mineral wool cavity wall insulation and re-confirming its place as a highly cost-effective means of achieving compliance.
Accounting for more than 55 percent of the market for external cavity wall insulation, full-fill glass mineral wool can deliver comparable thermal performance as like for like partial fill solutions, such as rigid foam boards, but at a significantly lower cost. What’s more, as full-fill solutions are quick and easy to install, with no need for retaining discs, labour costs are similarly reduced.
