Knauf Insulation has successfully been named as a finalist at the Business in the Community Wales Environment Award 2013.
Knauf Insulation reached the final with its entry on the environmental performance and improvement of its operations at Knauf Insulation’s manufacturing plant in Queensferry – fulfilling its commitment to the responsible manufacture of sustainable insulation materials.
Mark Lewis, Plant Manager at Knauf Insulation said: “Our big commitment to responsible manufacturing has led to the company being awarded a number of environmental accreditations, and its great to see that we have been shortlisted by the very prestigious BITC awards.
“We view sustainability as an on-going evolutionary process and we will continue to develop sustainable products and manufacturing processes to help contribute towards a greener future.”
The Business in the Community’s Responsible Business awards recognises companies that demonstrate their leadership on the key community, workplace and marketplace sustainability issues, where the business can make a difference at local, national and international levels.
The winners will be announced on 26th June at its Gala Dinner held at the SWALEC Stadium.
