Clearly demonstrating its credentials as a green manufacturer, Knauf Insulation is sponsoring a series of one-day courses organised by the Green Register of Construction Professionals – a not-for-profit organisation that promotes sustainable building practices across all disciplines of the construction industry.
The courses, which will be held in London and Swindon, focus on residential eco-refurbishment, with seminars from leading industry experts discussing a whole-house approach to sustainable refurbishment. Based around actual case studies, the seminars will look at eco-retrofit across the ages, from the Georgian period to the 1960s.
Craig O' Donnell, Business Development Manager - Residential Refurbishment at Knauf Insulation, will be leading a CPD on Knauf Insulation’s Internal Wall Insulation System (IWI). Perfect for residential refurbishments, IWI provides an effective method of upgrading solid masonry walls whilst delivering high levels of thermal performance.
Craig said: “As pressure on construction industry professionals to meet stringent energy efficiency targets continues to grow, sustainable refurbishment will become more and more important. These seminars are an excellent opportunity for construction professionals to increase their knowledge of this vital corner of the market.”
The London event will take place on Friday 20th May and the Swindon event is on 30th June 2011.
