Knauf Insulation puts a stamp on its sustainability commitment by joining The World Green Building Council’s European Regional Network.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are mission critical to Knauf Insulation, the world’s third largest manufacturer of insulation and one of the energy efficiency industry’s main advocates for stringent European energy efficiency policies. To promote its message further, the company recently joined the World Green Building Council’s European Regional Network. As part of a coalition of 80 national Green Building Councils, it is the largest international organisation influencing the green building marketplace.
Tony Robson, CEO Knauf Insulation states: “With its grass-roots orientation, the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and its members are real sources of change. This organisation is dedicated to the global transformation of the building industry towards sustainability. So obviously, we are excited to join the World Green Building Council’s European Regional Network. It is right in line with our commitment to sustainability as a company and offers an excellent platform to get people out of their chairs and concerned about energy efficiency issues on both the global and local levels. You can count on us being active and outspoken members.”
As a voice of movement, the WorldGBC promotes local green building actions as well as addressing global issues, such as climate change. It focuses on encouraging collaboration between international bodies and increasing the profile of the green building market, so that green buildings are a part of any comprehensive strategy to deliver carbon emission reductions.
Dominika Czerwinska, Manager Membership and Europe Network, World Green Building Council comments: “The World Green Building Council supports new and emerging Green Building Councils by providing them with the tools and strategies to establish strong organisations and leadership positions in their countries. We are certainly excited to have Knauf Insulation join us as a Regional Partner and look forward to our future collaboration."
