Home energy efficiency advice for Penarth residents
The residents of Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales are being offered the chance to enhance their knowledge surrounding home energy efficiency at a drop-in event later this month.
Set to be held at the Paget Rooms in Penarth on September 21st, the Warm Up for Winter event will see households handed the opportunity to receive free energy-saving advice from a range of experts. The event will run from 10:00 to 14:00 BST.
It is being delivered as part of the Welsh government's ongoing Warm Homes Nest scheme and will touch on issues ranging from the best forms of home insulation, such as cavity wall or loft insulation, through to how to receive support to have essential energy-saving improvements carried out.
The event will also see attendees given the opportunity to sign up for a free home assessment that could pinpoint simple forms of improvement to make a significant change to people's monthly outgoings in the years ahead.
Boiler and heating system replacements are just some of the positive steps that households across the region have seen carried out to date.
Head of the Nest scheme Lee Parry said: "Since the scheme started in 2011, Nest has provided free advice and support to over 85,000 households across Wales, with over 23,700 householders benefiting from free home improvements."
