London Aquatics Centre

KNAUF INSULATION RAISES THE ROOF AT THE LONDON AQUATICS CENTRE

Products from Knauf Insulation’s Polyfoam range have been used to thermally insulate the roof of London’s new 17,500 seat Aquatics Centre.

Housed beneath a distinctive wave-like curved roof, the centre contains a 50m competition pool, a 50m warm-up pool and a 25m competition diving pool. The insulation specification required a high performance product with the ability to withstand the building’s moisture, and with its highly water resistant properties, Knauf Insulation’s Polyfoam Roofboard Super was the ideal solution. Supplied by Travis Perkins, 1100m3 of the product was used within the build.
