Inverted roof system
Main contractor:
Advanced Roofing
KI Project Manager:

CHALLENGE

Center Parcs, Woburn Forest Village was needing a product which would help to meet the project’s environmental requirements and the demands of an inverted roof application.

SOLUTION

Thanks to Knauf Insulation’s Sales and Specification Manager Marc Lawson, who worked with Advanced Roofing from the early tender stages, right through to project completion, 7500m2 of Knauf Insulation’s Polyfoam ECO Roofboard Extra (205mm / 220mm) and Slimline Membrane was supplied.

The new 362-acre Center Parcs Village in Bedfordshire consists of modern lodges and leisure facilities including a subtropical swimming paradise, a spa and a variety of restaurants, as well as a corporate events venue – all of which have had Knauf Insulation’s Polyfoam ECO Roofboard products installed to the roofs.

Furthermore, Polyfoam ECO insulation has been extensively tested by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and is now the only range of extruded polystyrene (XPS) products certified to achieve a Green Guide Rating of ‘A’ - `A`+ allowing installers and end users to have the utmost confidence that the products provide a proven sustainable solution.

David concluded “Polyfoam ECO insulation was very easy to handle and install which makes it perfect for use on all decks and roof build-ups – saving money and time on site”.
